The Rack Sack kitchen trash can system is a space-saving alternative to a traditional kitchen bin. Instead of a large standing trash can, it uses a rack and special bags that attach to the inside of a cabinet door, typically under the sink.
The system usually comes with a metal or plastic rack.
Mount the rack on the inside of a cabinet door (most often under the sink) using screws or adhesive strips, depending on the model.
Make sure the rack is level and secure so it can hold the weight of a full bag.
Rack Sack uses custom-fit trash bags with built-in handles or notches.
Place the bag onto the rack by hooking the handles over the rack arms or sliding the notches into place.
The design keeps the bag open and stable, so it’s easy to drop in waste.
Open the cabinet door whenever you need to dispose of trash.
Because the system is smaller than a full-size bin, it’s best for light kitchen waste (wrappers, paper towels, food scraps) rather than heavy or oversized trash.
When the bag is full, lift it off the rack using the built-in handles.
Tie it shut (most Rack Sack bags have drawstring or flap-tie tops).
Replace with a new bag by attaching it to the rack.
Some Rack Sack systems allow you to install multiple racks side by side (or use different color bags) for separating trash, recycling, and compost.
This is useful for keeping waste organized in a compact space.
Wipe down the rack regularly to keep it clean.
Ensure the cabinet door hinges are strong enough to handle the weight, especially if you fill the bags to capacity.
✅ Benefits of the Rack Sack System:
Saves floor space by hiding the trash inside a cabinet.
Keeps the kitchen looking tidy.
Easier to access under the sink compared to a freestanding bin.
Can be expanded for recycling or compost.
