French press (8-cup/1 liter is common)
Coarsely ground coffee beans (like raw sugar in texture)
Cold or room-temperature filtered water
Spoon or chopstick for stirring
Standard: 1 cup coarsely ground coffee : 4 cups water
Stronger concentrate: 1:3 ratio
You can adjust to taste depending on how strong you like your cold brew.
Add Coffee Grounds
Put the ground coffee into your french press.
Add Water
Pour cold or room-temperature water over the grounds.
Stir gently to ensure all coffee is saturated.
Steep
Place the french press plunger on top (don’t push down).
Leave it to steep for 12–16 hours in the fridge (or on the counter if your room is cool).
Press & Strain
After steeping, slowly press the plunger down.
For extra clarity, you can pour the coffee through a fine strainer or paper filter to catch any fine grounds.
Cold brew concentrate is strong—dilute with equal parts cold water, milk, or milk alternative to taste.
Serve over ice, and sweeten if desired.
Transfer the cold brew into a sealed jar or bottle.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
✅ Tips for Better Cold Brew
Use freshly ground beans for the best flavor.
Always stick to coarse grind—fine grounds make the coffee muddy and harder to filter.
Experiment with different beans: light roasts bring out fruity flavors, dark roasts give you a rich, chocolatey brew.
